"Can you give me some space, please?"

Well Manny is back to the delight of some and the chagrin of others. He surprised everyone and stood at the plate in batting practice against DiceK but chose to only watch pitches. Reports state Manny had been taking batting practice since December. MLB.com has the full story of Manny's arrival... Apparently Jackie MacMullan and Dan Shaughnessy where near Manny's locker when he arrived and depending on who you believe Manny in some tone of voice said to the two Globe reporters "Can you give me some space, please?" Over at Red Sox Chick a very interesting post where she speaks of an email to Gordon Edes about Jackie MacMullan and Dan Shaughnessy and the behavior of Red Sox media including Jonny Miller of WBZ. Gordon Edes of the Globe said this. "I have received a few e-mails questioning the tone of the interview with Manny's agents. I did not identify the questioners in the transcript I sent. I would agree that a couple of the questions were not fair-minded, and may have reflected too much of the questioner's personal opinion, but in general I believe the questions were appropriate".
